Abyssal Plains

Started in 2006, Abyssal Plains is the latest musical project of Maurizio Giambrone, an electronic music producer based in London.

Originally influenced by bands such as Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk, Maurizio started off by playing in a series of electronic bands/duos with a mixture of covers and original material. As music progressed during the nineties, Maurizio decided to concentrate more on sample-based dance music and after a long time out, enthused by the possibilities provided by the internet and software-based music creation tools, Maurizio started tinkering again under the alias ‘Abyssal Plains’ only to be approached by Kahvi with the offer of releasing an ep.
