Installations A-Z
One of the main foci of the Archisonics project is to demonstrate correlations and correspondences between the disciplines of sound/music and architecture/form. FOURM have created Sounding Spaces to illustrate some of the formal elements that unite these two disciplines by taking location recordings from within and around the SHUNT building and it’s immediate vicinity.
A mobile platform for sound performance and recording using film as a form of graphic score for the creation of music using physically manipulated acoustic sources. Participants are invited to record sound effects using various techniques for recreating sonic events to film in synchrony with their visual correlates, otherwise known as Foley.
Collaborative Generative Music
This installation is a collaborative generative music work in which a number of distinct musical algorithms perform together.
Palme d’Or nominated film maker Pia Borg and experimental audio visual artist Robin Fox are quality assets from the Australian underground.
The dvd installations “Palimpsest” by Borg and “Backscatter” by Fox are a welcome and valued addition to the Netaudio lineup.
Isolated Response is an ongoing project into the function of audio as a stimulus to generate artistic work in others. It uses sound as the starting point for devising and invites artists to explore their individual response to the sound stimulus.
Eoin’s current project is a kinetic machine suspended from the ceiling will generate unpredictable rhythms and patterns, building up and releasing tension, translating data from impact and gyroscope Eowave sensors into sound.
Bomb Shop is a forward thinking independent label based in London. We’ve been bringing new music to your ears for the last ten years, in a rather random and disorganised fashion, so we reckoned it was about time we got organised, thought of a name, got ourselves a side-parting and officially start our project…
The ‘Sonification of You’ aims to make this data flow ‘visible’ to those people carrying the active devices. Our equipment will passively scan the various radio spectrum frequencies used by mobile phone devices, Bluetooth, WiFi networks, and others used by mobile devices, within a given space.
